2020 is shaping up to be a pretty exciting year here at Bradleys…
I’ll start by introducing myself. I’m Katie and I love all things sparkly! This is my 10th year of working at Bradleys so you may have seen me in store at some point. I started as soon as I left school at 18, popping in to have some pearls restrung and leaving with a job offer. I took the job as an interim before going to university, but I fell in love with the jewellery and the work and they haven’t managed to get rid of me yet! I worked hard and achieved my Professional Jewellers Diploma a couple of years ago and I’m now going on to study further; the education pool of jewellery and gemstones is endless and I’m looking forward to diving in to it head first!
So what’s happening in store at Bradleys this year? Firstly, I’ve taken over our blog and social media so hopefully I’ll be able to show you new pieces as soon as they come in, and perhaps make our interaction a bit more personal. I’m always available on the phone to answer any questions you may have and you can get in touch through our website or social media outlets.
We’re also letting our jewellers loose in the workshop so you’ll be seeing some new handmade products from them. It may be a bit different to what you normally see here, but I’m sure you’ll love it just as much. And don’t forget, we can bring your ideas to life! Our jewellers can design and make anything you can think of. Between the four of them, they have over 100 years of experience, and one of them is only in their first year of apprenticeship.
This year, we’re also trying to go Back to Basics. We want to remind our customers what we do, and why we’ve been trading for over 40 years. Our jewellery repairs and restorations are what we are known for. Our customers come from miles around based on a recommendation (our special thanks goes to those who travel half way around the world with their broken jewellery, just to have it repaired by us!) Our range of second hand and vintage jewellery is like nothing else you’ll find in the South East. We love to have interesting and unusual pieces in our window, something you wouldn’t find in any other high street jewellers.
And the way we work has hardly changed since we opened in 1977. Quality repairs and jewellery combined with great value for money. That’s our Hallmark.
